My Grandparents' origins

All my grandparents come from the northeast of Spain, from the lands that once belonged to the Catalan-Aragon and Navarre kingdoms before they joined Castile by virtue of the marriage of Ferdinand and Isabel to create Spain. In this chapter I want to give you a little insight about the little towns where my ancestors came from. One day, when I am inspired, I will give you some more information about my allegiances.

Batea

Terra Alta, Tarragona, Catalunya

In this beautiful and historic town, my grandfather Joan Llorens Sunyé, my great grandfather Miquel Llorens Martí and many other family members were born. Click below to know a little more about the town:

Alfamén

Campo de Cariñena, Zaragoza

In this village not far away from Saragossa (Zaragoza), my mother, her parents and most of the relatives from my mother side were born. My grandparents and mother moved to Barcelona when she was one year old. My grandfather's name was Francisco Valero Valero, my grandmother is called Dominica.

Miranda De Arga

Bajo Arga, Navarra

Charming village on the banks of the Arga river, where my grandmother Antonia Sesma was born at the turn of the century.
